Green bonds are credit securities issued by public or private bodies with the commitment to invest in green and sustainable projects: implementation of alternative energy, environmental efficiency, cleaner transport, waste management, adaptation to climate change...

During 2016, the figure of 80 billion dollars in green or sustainable bond issues was exceeded, with growth of 100% compared to 2015.
