#LearnSustainability: Conference of the Parties (COP)

Do you know what the COP is? We explain the concept and its meaning in this infographic

The Conference of the Parties, commonly abbreviated as COP, is the body of the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (@UNFCCC) which aims to "guide the efforts of the countries that are parties of the Convention to act against climate change", ie, prevent human interference in increasing the average temperature of the Earth.

These countries meet to propose and adopt action plans to mitigate human activity on global warming. The next climate summit, which will be the twenty-second, will take place in November this year and its headquarters will be the Moroccan city of Marrakech.
