#LearnSustainability: Life cycle assessment

The Life cycle assessment (LCA) is a methodology applied to evaluate the environmental impact of a process, product or service throughout its existence from the acquisition of raw materials, transportation, construction and use until the end of its life.

The LCA includes the complete cycle of the product, process or activity, having into account the stages of extraction and processing of raw materials, production, transportation and distribution, use, reuse and maintenance, recycling and final disposal.
