The Great Pacific Garbage Patch is a huge expanse of a million and a half square kilometers that floats in the Pacific Ocean and is composed of scraps of all kinds.

Although this threat in the form of a plastic island is the largest, there are four more in the other oceans, with the exception of the Arctic and the Antarctic.
