James Dean (1931-1955) was an American actor that became a cultural icon after his untimely death in a car accident when he was 24 years old. His childhood was marked by the death of his mother when he was only nine. His father sent James to live with his aunt and uncle on a farm in Indiana, where he was educated in a rural setting.
As a result of this contact during part of his childhood and adolescence, James Dean was always a nature lover, condition embodied in this famous quote: "I also became close to nature, and am now able to appreciate the beauty with which this world is endowed."
