#LearnSustainability: NDCs

Do you know what NDCs are? We explain the concept and its meaning in this infographic

The Nationally Determined Contributions are commitments that member countries of the Conference of the Parties have voluntarily provided after the signing of the Paris Agreement with the aim of reducing the emission of greenhouse gases. These challenges are made based on their respective situations and realistic capabilities, and focus on mitigation actions, but also include commitments on adaptation, financing and technology innovation.

However, having into account all the contributions that countries have sent so far the objective defined in the Paris Agreement would still not be reached: keep global warming at a maximum increase of 2 ºC respect to the preindustrial era.
