#LearnSustainability: Emissions increase

The IPCC (Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change) warns that in the last 26 years the global emissions of carbon dioxide have increased by almost 50%, a vertiginous escalation that is having devastating effects on the planet. Between 2000 and 2010 emissions increased more than in the three previous decades all together.

Due to the concentration and continued emissions of greenhouse gases, countries have committed on the Paris Agreement to keep the increase in global average temperature well below 2 degrees Celsius.
